The following
Table will be to keep track of Student Progress and will be grades based on
completeness at the end of every two weeks as a “Report Card”.
In some cases target
due dates for handbuilding assignments varies depending on the complexity.
In addition to
learning and practicing Ceramic Techniques students will also be learning how
to use the Digital tools including Blogs and Digital photography available to
artists today for sharing and documenting their journey.
Rationale:
1.
Portfolios
are done Digitally as a way of documenting the journey and creating an anytime
anywhere way to see the work done in class.
2.
Due
the nature of 3 Dimensional Handbuilding clay work, storage and firing the
Digital Portfolio provides and unique and ideal way to showcase the growth and
progress of Ceramics
3.
All
Assignments are designed to be open-ended allowing for individual choice
combining various components of the Curriculum Wheel
4.
All assignments
require Student Self Direction facilitated by the Teacher/Instructor. This
allows for students to work independently and at his/her own pace.
5.
Students
have the option to work on multiple assignments at once and to go ahead
6.
Once
all Handbuilding assignments for the term are complete the student may practice
