Semester 2-Digital Portfolio Check List

Ceramics Course - High School

Example from 2012
Examples 2013

The following Table will be to keep track of Student Progress and will be grades based on completeness at the end of every two weeks as a “Report Card”.
In some cases target due dates for handbuilding assignments varies depending on the complexity.
In addition to learning and practicing Ceramic Techniques students will also be learning how to use the Digital tools including Blogs and Digital photography available to artists today for sharing and documenting their journey.
Rationale:
1.   Portfolios are done Digitally as a way of documenting the journey and creating an anytime anywhere way to see the work done in class.
2.   Due the nature of 3 Dimensional Handbuilding clay work, storage and firing the Digital Portfolio provides and unique and ideal way to showcase the growth and progress of Ceramics
3.   All Assignments are designed to be open-ended allowing for individual choice combining various components of the Curriculum Wheel
4.   All assignments require Student Self Direction facilitated by the Teacher/Instructor. This allows for students to work independently and at his/her own pace.
5.   Students have the option to work on multiple assignments at once and to go ahead
6.   Once all Handbuilding assignments for the term are complete the student may practice Wheel Throwing
